I love the process of building with concrete. You have to visualize what you want to build and then build the inverse… Or, in other words, build the opposite of what you want to create. Form boards always look like a bit of a crazy mess until you tear them away and reveal the finished product. This is also where your skill (or lack there of) as a form carpenter shows up. Every seam or rough joint shows up when the forms are removed. This is when you find out if you did well or not. I love this part.
